COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
The DBU Men's Soccer team is getting set for their second consecutive road game as they travel up to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to take on Oklahoma Christian University on Saturday, March 27th at 1:00 p.m. The game will mark the second time the two sides will face off this season, with DBU claiming the first contest in a 3-1 win.

The Patriots are coming off of a tough midweek outing against Midwestern State on Tuesday night. DBU wouldn't be able to click on the offensive side of the field and would be shutout on the night. DBU would look to keep possession of the ball, as they had done all year, but struggled to get key combinations in the attacking third of the field.

DBU would ultimately fall to the Mustangs on the evening. However, the Patriots are looking to bounce back at travel up to OKC to get a road win against OCU. In the two teams last meeting, DBU would dominate the game from start to finish – coming away with a 3-1 win. DBU will look to put in the same performance against the Eagles and come away with their first road win of the year.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - In the first meeting of the year between DBU and OCU, the Patriots were firing on all cylinders offensively. DBU had 15 shots on the day, with nine of those being on target, and scored three goals. All three goal scorers for the Patriots, Carlos Lara, Mason Wallak, and Emmanuel Loni each recorded the first goals of their DBU career.

 - Three players for DBU have already played more minutes this year than half of the team played in all of the 2019 season. Payton Franklin, Carlos Lara, and Koli McCullough have each seen at least 422 minutes of action.

 - The possession and style of play for DBU in the first meeting between these two teams was also excellent. The Patriots were able to dominate the game from the very beginning and were able to get into dangerous areas through the combinations in their play that allowed them to see multiple solid looks on frame.

 - Another thing that the Patriots did exceptionally well in their first meeting with the Eagles this season was stay organized defensively. The backline for DBU allowed the frontrunners of Oklahoma Christian no space on the ball throughout the game and put in multiple strong challenges that would see DBU regain possession.

 - The Patriots are looking to beat the same team two times in the same year since 2013, when DBU knocked off McMurry in back-to-back games by a score of 3-2 and 4-0. DBU will rely on the style of play they have solidified this season to go into OKC and leave with their 2nd win against Oklahoma Christian in the 2021 season.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
- The Eagles are currently 1-6 and sit in 9th place in the Lone Star Conference.

- Since the last time the Patriots and Eagles faced off, OCU has only played one other game. Oklahoma Christian saw their non-conference match against Newman University canceled and then lost to UTPB on Tuesday by a score of 1-0.

- 2019 3rd Team All-Lone Star Conference selection Anthony Trabichet has been strong all year for the Eagles. The junior goalkeeper from France has made 49 saves on the year and has kept the Eagles in multiple games this season.

- In the last meeting between DBU and OCU, the Eagles were without forward Thomas van der Meulen. The forward scored three goals in 2019 and had one assist. Van der Meulen was in action for OCU in their last game against UTPB and had three goals with one being on target.

SERIES HISTORY
The Patriots are 7-4 all-time against Oklahoma Christian.
