THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team opened their fall season on the road in Tyler, Texas. The team faced two days of competition from two nationally ranked Division II programs in UT Tyler and Southern Arkansas, along with junior college powerhouses Tyler Junior College and Seward County Community College. UT Tyler and TJC hosted the Tyler Invite.
The weekend provided valuable experience against top competition. Senior
Grant McKenzie shined in the Tyler Invite, defeating the No. 9 player in the country from Southern Arkansas in Sander Jans in a tough 3 set match. Fellow upperclassman
Aaron Capone also recorded a strong showing.
HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE SEASON OPENER
"This weekend we saw some of the toughest competition we will face all year. It was a humbling weekend that let our guys know what we need to work on to get ready for our ITA Regional coming up this month."
