Flickner Gets 300th Win in 89-53 Rout of Cameron

THE RUNDOWN
Alex Holcombe posted a career-high 12 rebounds, the offense drilled 14 3-pointers, and coach Flickner's 300th win came in an 89-53 dismantlement of Cameron on Thursday. The Patriots (13-6, 6-1 LSC) extended their win streak to seven games and handed the Aggies (2-10, 0-6 LSC) their biggest loss of the year.

The Patriots trailed by five during the first three minutes of the game. But a three-point play from Jalen White and a quick 10-0 run put the Patriots on the right side of the scoreboard with 34 minutes remaining. The Patriots cracked the code to the Aggies' offense, limiting Cameron to three deep balls and a 32% shooting effort from the floor. Back-to-back threes from Julian Miranda (14 points, 4-6 3PM) and a thunderous putback dunk by Carson Hughes concluded a 46-22 first half and energized the crowd at the Burg Center.

Cameron Kahn ran the offense with a game-high six assists, and Alex Holcombe (7 points, 14 rebounds) gave DBU a 48-35 advantage on the boards. The Patriots reserves checked in midway through the second half and inflated the lead to 41 points. Grayson Buehler erupted for a season-high 15 points in just 14 minutes of action, shooting 6-of-7 from the floor and a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc. Overall, 12 Patriots registered a point in DBU's biggest win of the season.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
-Cameron's three 3-pointers are the fewest conceded to a Patriot opponent since November of 2019 against Tarleton State.
-DBU's 89 points mark its highest offensive output of the season.
-Julian Miranda is just two assists away from passing Armie Lewis (366) for second in school history.

COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE WIN
"It was a complete game. We played really well and did a good job taking care of the ball. There wasn't much to complain about today... We're in a good place right now, but we're going to find out a lot about ourselves in the next 10 days. We've got some good games on the schedule, and we will measure ourselves against some of the top teams in the league."

COACH FLICKNER ON 300 CAREER WINS
"A lot of good players have made a lot of shots. I've never made a basket but we've had a lot of great players come through this program that have won a lot of games for us."
