THE RUNDOWN
On the heels of their largest margin of victory this season over a week ago, the Patriots (8-3, 3-0 LSC) routed the Western New Mexico Mustangs (6-4, 0-3 LSC) on the road.
Jalen White scored more than 20 points for the first time in two seasons.
Â
Cameron Kahn and White started the night offensively for DBU, recording the team's first dozen points. The Patriots held a marginal lead for the majority of the first half and extended it to as much as 11 before Isaiah Lewis hit a buzzer-beating midrange jump shot for WNMU to shrink the margin to 8 at the break.
Â
DBU came alive in the second half, using only 5:39 to take a 20-point advantage thanks to a
Ta'Jay Dunlap 3-pointer. The Patriots never looked back, shooting 59% in the frame. WNMU failed to answer DBU in a night where only 2 Mustangs tallied at least 10 points.

BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE UNSELFISH PLAY FROM THE PATRIOTS
"Great overall team win tonight. Playing on the road and in elevation, in conference, against a well-coached team with a winning record was scary to me. But the guys responded really well. I love the 20 assists and holding them to only 36% from the field. Almost everyone scored and we shared the ball really well."
