The DBU Lacrosse team traveled to Ruston, Louisiana, to take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on March 12, 2022. In a tight game that saw several lead changes in the fourth quarter, the Patriots finished the game and took home the win thanks to senior attack man Anthony Blakely scoring the final go ahead goal.

Junior attack man Christian Beckett continued his hot streak, scoring 8 of the 11 goals for DBU and adding one assist, bringing his season total to 23 points in just three games.

Senior long stick midfielder Javier Sauceda was awarded player of the game for grabbing 10 ground balls and scoring his first career goal.  "After years of playing for DBU lacrosse I'm glad I was able to contribute with a goal in tandem with my normal defending tasks," Sauceda said.

The Patriots improved to 2-1 on the season and will return home to face the East Texas Baptist Tigers at Patriot field on March 22 at 7:05 pm.
