DBU's Angela Charles-Alfred and Jenna Payne have been named First Team All-Americans in doubles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Charles-Alfred and Payne become the first All-Americans in school history after the Lady Patriots' doubles team compiled one of the nation's top seasons in doubles play.

During the 2022-2023 season, Charles-Alfred and Payne combined to go 15-1 in doubles action. The DBU tandem finished the year ranked No. 1 in the South Central Region and were the No. 8 ranked team in the nation.

Charles-Alfred, a graduate student transfer from Xavier University of Louisiana, and Payne, a freshman from Jonesboro, Arkansas, were also named First Team All-Lone Star Conference selections at the conclusion of the season. Charles-Alfred was also tabbed the LSC's Newcomer of the Year.
