The DBU Women's Tennis team finished strong at the ITA South Central Regional Championships this weekend in Arlington, Texas.Â
Sofia Teran and
Isabella Arana Rios headlined the Lady Patriots' performance by becoming the first-ever doubles team from DBU to win the ITA's after defeating seeded opponents from Midwestern, Lubbock Christian, and UT-Tyler.
Sarah Castleberry and
Leonie Schondelmaier defeated opponents from UTPB, Midwestern, and Angelo State to win the back draws. Double's pairing

Caroline Hudson/
Emily Buchanan, and
Elise Carbo all picked up wins during the contest.Â
Schondelmaier advanced the furthest in singles play, making the round of 16 before falling in three sets, while
Teran,
Payne,
Smelley, and
Arana Rios won their first-round matches.
Sarah Stewart,
Sarah Castleberry, and
Elise Carbo also picked up wins in the B draw.Â
