LAST TIME OUT
A dominating offensive display against UAFS moved No. 6 DBU to 10-1 after a 99-79 win Thursday night at the Burg Center. The Patriots were led by Ricky Lujan, who scored 18 points and was joined in double figures by four other Patriots, including Cameron Kahn (13), Jaden Shevin (11), Issac Bullard (11), and Trevor Frank (11).

Just over three minutes into the game, a Ta'Jay Dunlap layup gave DBU their first lead of the first half after a 5-0 run. Taking advantage of rebounds, a 7-0 run from UAFS brought them back into the game. The Patriots responded with an 8-0 surge over the next two minutes to go up 18-14. A 3-point jumper by Cody Stevens allowed DBU enough breathing room to secure their lead with 3:08 left to play in the half. The Patriots ended the half with a 5-0 run; shots from Ricky Lujan put DBU ahead 47-35, their first double-digit lead of the half. 

The Patriots would lead by as many as 21 points seven minutes into the second half, going up 67-46 after a 7-0 run. DBU extended their lead to 81-58, forcing a Lions' timeout with 9:46 to play.  DBU led by 21 points at the game's final media timeout. A Trevor Frank three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining put the finishing touches on a 99-79 win. 

On Saturday, the Patriots continue their schedule at home against Oklahoma Christian.

- DBU is ranked as high as No. 6  in the NABC National Poll and is ranked in all three national polls.
- DBU currently ranks second in the LSC in assists, averaging 17.8 per game. 
- Defensively, DBU ranks first in the LSC and 11th in the nation in turnovers forced per game (19.83).
- Ricky Lujan enters Saturday's game just 16 points away from passing Jonathan Perry (2013-2016) for the ninth-most points in school history.
- Cameron Kahn is six rebounds from reaching 520 career rebounds and passing Jalen White (2019-2023) for the fifth-most rebounds in program history.
- Deng Dut leads the Patriots in assists (43). Dut is currently ranked tenth in the conference in assists per game. 
-Ta'Jay Dunlap ranks third in the conference for assist/turnover ratio (3.00).

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
- Oklahoma Christian defeated UT Tyler 74-71 on Thursday, their second conference win after defeating UAFS 77-69.
- The Eagles are currently ranked fifth in the LSC in blocks, averaging 3.2 per game. 
- Oklahoma Christian ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage (78.4) and fifth in free throws made per game (17.2).
- Moun'Tae Edmunson leads the Eagles in scoring, averaging 14.8 ppg. Edmunson also ranks third in the conference in free throw percentage (.898) and sixth in total free throws (53). 
- Jovan Savic leads Oklahoma Christian in rebounds (63), averaging 5.7 per game. Savic is ranked sixth in the conference for defensive rebounds per game. 

SERIES HISTORY
DBU leads the all-time series, 16-8. In their last meeting at the Burg Center on January 26, 2023, DBU defeated Oklahoma Christian 76-53. This will be the 25th matchup between DBU and Oklahoma Christian dating back to their first contest on January 19, 2013.
