THE RUNDOWN
DBU Bowling kicked off their 2024-25 season at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas, for SWIBC I and SWIBC II.

The Patriots started Saturday with four team games of 897, 867, 804, and 952. After adding 1626 pins in ten baker games, the Patriots came away with a fifth-place finish out of twelve teams totaling 5146 pins. Freshman Zack Wassam led the team averaging 192 over the course of the four-team games.

On Sunday, the Patriots played six team games, totaling 954, 965, 936, 944, 813, and 856. The scoring pace turned out to be a little bit too much for the Patriots to handle, leaving them with an eighth-place finish out of twelve teams. Sophomore Trenton Wagner led the team, averaging 214 over the course of the six-team games.

Alongside the average leaders from DBU on Saturday and Sunday, the varsity lineup had contributions from Junior Paul Marquez, Sophomores Ryan Lira and Justin Dirden, and freshman Chase Walker.
