COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
DBU Men's Soccer suffered a 2-0 loss to Oklahoma Christian on Saturday night at Patriots Soccer field. This is the Eagle's first win in the last seven matches against DBU since September 21, 2019.

Patriot soccer field saw an aggressive first half as OC's Ethan Nakolo scored 32 seconds in from a long direct assist from half field. The Patriots had a set-piece chance attempt as Peyton Voelker passed the ball up to Aiden McGeown to give Gavyn Rosales the assist but Rosales's header wasn't able to get it past the goal line. Hunter Dierlam looked to create an attempt for the Patriots in the 17th minute from a free kick but Evan Pustejovsky's header couldn't complete the assist from Evan Lupo. A foul on the Eagles allowed the Patriots to open scoring right outside the Eagles box. Voelker came through with a shot and it was goalie saved until OC's Pepe Hinterschuster fumbled it allowing Mason Monroe to create a chance but Hinterschuster was able to get back on the ball thwarting the attempt. The Eagles looked to add to their advantage but Patrick Banich was able to save the attempt as he came sliding out of the box. With 44 seconds left in the half, Bauer had a chance to equalize with a header outside the box from a Beck cross but it was saved ending the half with OC up 1-0.

The Patriots held possession early in the second half as DBU had back-to-back set piece chances by Pustejovsky and Voelker but the Eagle's defense held them from opening scoring. DBU went on an aggressive offensive run as they had multiple chances down the field but they were no match against the OC defense and Hinterschuster as they entered the 56th minute of the half. However, the Eagles struck again as they scored their second goal of the night in the 68th minute. Dierlam attempted to get DBU on the board with a header on Voelker's free-kick but it was no luck as the Patriots fell to Oklahoma Christian 2-0.
