No. 9 DBU and Angelo State meet for the third time this season in the second round of the NCAA DII South Central Regional.
LAST TIME OUT
DBU earned a 2-1 victory against the MSU Denver Roadrunners in a thrilling fashion. The first round of the South Central Regional kicked off with a goal by Anne Louthan assisted by McKenna Vela in the eighth minute. The Patriots held onto their lead until the 70th minute when MSU Denver's Brooklyn Gold found the equalizer.
In a last-ditch effort to secure the win, the Patriots created an offensive surge that ended in McKenna Vela finding Anne Louthan again with just a minute and a half remaining in the match. The Patriots came away with the victory and advanced further into the postseason.
PATRIOT STORYLINES

The Patriots total 11 shutouts on the season, which is the 8th most earned in a season in program history. Senior goalkeeper Breanna Bowen totals 47 saves this season and 15 wins, which is ties for sixth-most in program history.
ANGELO STATE

Sophomore Christina Clark was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Lone Star Conference. Amber Lockwood, the starting goalkeeper for the Rambelles, was also honored by the Conference with the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
SERIES HISTORY
DBU and ASU face off for the third time this season. In their first match, Angelo State scored two goals in the first half to secure a 2-1 win. In the LSC Championship, the Patriots struck first but lost in double overtime after the Rambelles scored. The Patriots have a 4-8-1 overall record against ASU and are looking for their first win against the Rambelles since 2021.
