Patriots Finish 25th at National Collegiate Team Match Games

THE RUNDOWN  
DBU Bowling finished in 25th place this past weekend at the 2024 National Collegiate Team Match Games in Fairview Heights, Illinois, the second of four Tier-1 tournaments on the Patriot schedule this season.
 
The Patriots started off Saturday with five team games of 825, 867, 796, 899, and 937.
Sophomore, Trenton Wagner, led the team, averaging 192.4 over the course of the five team games.
 
On Sunday, the Patriots fired off 20 baker games, averaging 163.2. Alongside the average leader from DBU on Saturday, the varsity lineup had contributions from Juniors Paul Marquez and Travis Sorola, Sophomores Ryan Lira and Justin Dirden, and Freshmen David You, and Zack Wassam.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 
- This was DBU's first appearance at National Collegiate Team Match Games.
- On Saturday, Sophomore Trenton Wagner led the team in single day average for the second time this season.
- After National Collegiate Team Match Games, DBU ranked 126th out of 172 teams that have competed this season.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS  
30 - Games completed this season by Zack Wassam, the most of any bowler.
181.5 -  Trenton Wagner's average through 29 games this season.

UP NEXT  

The Patriots head to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the final two Tier-1 tournaments this season. The Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational & Collegiate Shoot-Out will both take place at the South Point Bowling Plaza, the first of which starts at 8:00 a.m. on December 18.
