Patriots Face Yellow Jackets in Brownwood on Thursday

LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Men's Tennis team went 1-2 at the Arlington Tennis Center over the weekend. Splitting their two matches on Friday, the Patriots fell to Texas Wesleyan, 3-4, and defeated Texas A&M Texarkana, 4-3. The following day, DBU lost 2-5 to Southeastern Oklahoma.  

In doubles play, the Patriots went 5-4 over the weekend, headlined by Arturo Langle and Alec Rule, who swept all three of their weekend matches. 

Edgar Mayorga and Arturo Langle led the way for the Patriots after going 3-0 in singles play. Fabian Rosales also notched a mark in the win column in singles play. 


PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots return to action on Thursday to face Howard Payne. 
- DBU is a combined 23-14 in singles play and owns a 10-7 mark in doubles.


SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

DBU will face Howard Payne on Thursday. HPU competes at the NCAA Division III level and is out to a 0-6 start this spring. The Patriots own the all-time series, going 13-3 against the Yellow Jackets since their first matchup on February 7, 2005. 


UP NEXT
DBU will travel to Abilene, Texas, on Friday, where they will face McMurry and Hardin-Simmons.
