Men’s Tennis Back in Action Against McMurry and Hardin-Simmons Friday

LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Men's Tennis team went 1-2 at the Arlington Tennis Center over the weekend. Splitting their two matches on Friday, the Patriots fell to Texas Wesleyan, 3-4, and defeated Texas A&M Texarkana, 4-3. The following day, DBU lost 2-5 to Southeastern Oklahoma.  

In doubles play, the Patriots went 5-4 over the weekend, headlined by Arturo Langle and Alec Rule, who swept all three of their weekend matches. 

Edgar Mayorga and Arturo Langle led the way for the Patriots after going 3-0 in singles play. Fabian Rosales also notched a mark in the win column in singles play. 


PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots return to action on Friday to face McMurry and Hardin-Simmons. 
- DBU is a combined 23-14 in singles play and owns a 10-7 mark in doubles.


SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
DBU will face McMurry on Friday. McMurry competed at the NCAA Division III and is out to a 1-4 start this spring. The War Hawks once the all-time series, going 8-9 against the Patriots since their first matchup on March 9, 2007. 

DBU will also face Hardin-Simmons on Friday. HSU competes at the NCAA Division III level and is out to a 1-3 start this spring. The Patriots own the all-time series, going 5-3 against the Cowboys since their first matchup on February 2, 2013. 


UP NEXT

The Patriots have an off week next week but return to action in Florida March 11-13.
