COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
Fifth-seeded DBU returns to action on the hardwood against No. 1 seed West Texas A&M during tonight's NCAA Regional Semifinals. The Patriots jump back into action following Saturday's 86-73 victory over the Colorado School of Mines, while the Buffs enter the rematch following an 81-66 win over Angelo State.Â
DBU and WT are scheduled to clash for the second time this season. The Buffs won the regular season series with a 93-79 victory over the Patriots on January 25. WT maintained control of the contest after jumping to a 25-21 lead early in the first half. Despite the outcome, the Patriots outscored the Buffs in the paint, 46-44, and four players from DBU scored double figures, including
Cameron Kahn (22),
Deng Dut (21),
Trevor Frank (19), and
Ricky Lujan (16). The Patriots seek to upset the top-ranked Buffs in the same manner as last night's win over CSM. DBU shot 49% while holding the Orediggers to 33% three-point shooting.Â
