The DBU STUNT team won the inaugural Lone Star Conference Championship with a 20-5 victory over the St. Mary's Rattlers on Saturday in Argyle, Texas.
Quarter 1 - Partner Stunts Score: 3-2
In an exciting start to the Championship game, DBU called routine six and executed it perfectly, winning the game's first point. St. Mary's returned, put up a competitive routine seven and won the point. Both teams looked focused and ready to compete hard for the LSC title.
Quarter 2 - Pyramids and Tosses Score: 7-2
In Quarter 2, the Patriots started to pull away from the Rattlers, putting up all possible four points before halftime. It was obvious that these athletes were ready to make history.
Quarter 3 - Jumps and Tumbling Score: 11-3
Following halftime, the Patriots continued to dominate the competition. A standout performance by Junior
Eve Doudican helped DBU continue to receive every point this quarter.
Quarter 4 - Combination Routine Final Score: 20-5
DBU continued to prove themselves as the better competitor, winning nine out of 12 possible points. This exciting win solidified DBU as the first team to win an LSC STUNT Championship title.
"We played the game to the best of our abilities, regardless of the level of the routine," said senior captain Chari Uber. "Every teammate was proud of the routine that was on the mat. Making it to the championship game was a huge reward, and winning on top of that was the biggest blessing."

The Patriots expect to be one of the top seven teams within Division II to be invited to the 2024 STUNT Nationals in St. Louis, Missouri, April 26-28.
