STUNT Advances to LSC Championship With 15-0 Win Over UT Tyler

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU STUNT team defeated UT Tyler in the first round of the inaugural Lone Star Conference STUNT Championship Tournament on Saturday in Argyle, Texas. The Patriots played a perfect game, winning all possible points, and mercy-ruled the Patriots with a final score of 15-0.

Quarter 1 - Partner Stunts Score: 4-0
The Patriots started this game with a confident presence and received all four possible points right off the bat.

Quarter 2 - Pyramids and Tosses Score: 8-0
DBU started the quarter with routine three, and UTT forfeited the round. This was a strong quarter for the DBU Patriots and gave them a huge lead early in the game.

Quarter 3 - Jumps and Tumbling Score: 12-0
Following halftime, the Patriots came out looking strong and ready to go. DBU called Routine 6 to start the quarter. They received the point and continued to receive all four possible points. The sideline was incredibly encouraging, and it helped the Patriots finish the game strong.

Quarter 4 - Combination Routine Final Score: 15-0
After calling routine 1 in the first round of Quarter 4, there was no way for the UT Tyler Patriots to make a comeback. The officials called a mercy rule on UT Tyler, and DBU moved on to the Championship game.

"Going into this game, we were super excited to be a part of the first-ever LSC STUNT conference tournament," said Sophomore Transfer Elle Tokarczyk. "We really focused on our confidence and energy. Ultimately our energy and the skills we put on the mat lead us to our first mercy rule victory."
