No. 2 DBU Set to Face No. 7 TAMIU in LSC Quarterfinals Thursday

COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF

No. 10 DBU is slated to face the LSC No. 7 Texas A&M International in the Lone Star Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m. The second-seeded Patriots and seventh-seeded Dustdevils are familiar with each other, as they've already delivered two thrilling matches this season. DBU defeated TAMIU 99-82 on January 20 before falling to the Dustdevils 65-55 on February 15. 

Both teams enter Thursday's contest with league-leading abilities, as DBU leads the conference in turnovers forced per game (21.13), while TAMIU leads in scoring defense (65.1). Their skills were shown as the Patriots forced over 30 turnovers between the two games, and TAMIU held DBU to their season-low of 55 points.



PATRIOT STORYLINES 

- The Patriots finished the regular season 22-4 and second in conference play. 
- DBU leads the conference in scoring offense, 92.8.
- Cameron Kahn ranks first in points (334) and field goals (132), while Ta'Jay Dunlap and Ricky Lujan rank second in steals (30).

- The Dustdevils close out the regular season 17-11 and 13-9 in conference play. 
- TAMIU features a defense ranked first in the LSC, 65.1.
