LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Women's Tennis team split a pair of LSC matches this week, falling 5-2 to Midwestern State before Lubbock Christian 4-3.

The Lady Patriots doubles stood out. The team notched a doubles point against #4 MSU and #20 LCU, and it has yet to lose a single doubles point in conference play. Alongside the doubles play, singles were also quite competitive. Isabella Rios was the only Patriot to pull through with a win against Midwestern State (5-7, 6-2, 10-4). Others were close, but none were able to win. Despite all, there was a great showing from the Lady Patriots against a top 5 nationally ranked program.

The following day against Lubbock Christian was a marathon battle, as the overall match lasted five hours. Leonie Schondelmaier (6-3, 3-6, 6-1), Emily Buchanan (3-6, 7-5, 7-6), and Caroline Hudson (4-6, 7-5, 7-6)  were the only players able to grab a win in singles play to get DBU to the four points that were needed to snatch the win. All of the ladies' matches were won in three sets, though Hudson (line 1) and Buchanan (line 5) bought fought-off match points and significant deficits to come out on top against their opponents. The win against LCU is the team's second win against a nationally ranked program this year, the first being the 4-3 win against St. Mary's on March 30th.
