-DBU won for the fourth straight time with a 19-5 win in seven innings over Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark.
- The Patriots enter this weekend 1.0 game back of Louisiana Tech for first place in the Conference USA standings with three weekend series remaining in the regular season schedule.
- DBU is in the midst of an eight-game home stand to conclude this year's home schedule. The Patriots' .744 win % at Horner Ballpark since 2013 ranks 13th-best in college baseball.
- The Patriots own the #16 RPI in the nation. The Patriots are 8-5 versus teams with RPI rankings in the top 50 and have compiled 11 wins over teams inside the top 100.
- DBU's starting pitching and defense have been strengths in 2024. The Patriots rank #2 in the nation in fielding % (.983) and #4 in ERA (3.73).

- Jacksonville State enters this weekend with a 15-27 overall record after being swept by New Mexico State last weekend and defeating Georgia State on Tuesday.
- With a 3-12 conference record, the Gamecocks rank last in the Conference USA standings.
- On offense, Jacksonville State has two players hitting over .300: Bear Madliak (.311) and Brennen Norton (.309).
- In the power department, the Gamecocks have three players with double-digit home runs in: Norton (11), Caleb Johnson (10), and Derrick Jackson Jr. (11).
