On Friday, DBU Baseball's Ryan Johnson was named an ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American, as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association.  It marks the third All-America Team that Johnson, a junior right-handed pitcher from Red Oak, Texas, has been named to after garnering First Team honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Perfect Game.

In one of the most historic seasons in DBU Baseball history, Johnson went 11-3 with a 2.21 ERA and set the program's single-season strikeout record with 151 punchouts. Johnson also became DBU's all-time strikeout leader with 314 strikeouts over the past three seasons. Additionally, Johnson's 2.21 ERA ranked as the sixth-lowest in the nation, and his 10.79 strikeout-to-walk ratio was the third-best mark in college baseball.

Johnson is the first two-time All-American as a pitcher in program history after garnering Third Team All-America honors from the NCBWA last year.
