Men's Tennis Shows Promising Signs at Abilene Quad

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team competed at the Abilene Duals over the weekend, playing four lines of doubles and eight lines of singles against three teams. The Patriots were led by Matthew Abbey, who notched a win over a regionally-ranked player in line 1 singles.  JW Altman and Fabian Rosales notched a win over the line 1 doubles team from UTPB.
DBU's top performance as a team came against Hardin-Simmons, where they won five of eight singles matches and three out of four doubles contests.

DBU HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE TEAM'S PERFORMANCE
"The difference between us and the field this weekend was not much. In some cases, we did better in the big moments; in others, we came up short. This weekend was a big indicator of how far this team can go, and we're missing a couple of key players due to injury, so I'm excited to see what we look like at full strength."
