Patriots Close Out Fall Season With Strong Performance at ITA Regional Championships

Over the weekend, the DBU Men's Tennis team concluded their fall season at the ITA South Central Regional Championships in Tyler, Texas. The Patriots posted several strong performances headlined by the doubles teams of Matthew Abbey and Alec Rule, along with JW Altman and Fabian Rosales, who won their opening rounds in A draw action before falling to top-seeded teams in the second round. Zach Capone and Ricardo Carvajalino also advanced into day two with a win in the back draw of doubles. Oliver Whittaker and Marianno Guzman also won the B draw in doubles play.

Day one in singles play proved to be a solid showing from the Patriots as Ricardo Carvajalino, Marianno Guzman, Edgar Mayorga, and Alec Rule all won singles matches. Carvajalino, Rule, and Guzman each advanced into day two action.
