Bowling Finishes Fall Season at Glenn Carlson LVI & Collegiate Shoot-Out

THE RUNDOWN  
DBU Bowling finished the fall semester with 44th place in the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational and 52nd place in the Collegiate Shoot-Out. Both tournaments were held at the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas, NV.
 
The Patriots started off the Glenn Carlson LVI with nine team games over two days of 864, 1044, 902, 891, 819, 938, 772, and 811. Game two total of 1044 set a record high for a single team game score for DBU Bowling. Sophomore, Trenton Wagner, led the team, averaging 187.63 over the course of the nine team games. DBU missed out on the top 16 cut for match play, finishing 44th.
 
Over the next two days, the Patriots fired off five team games and 16 baker games, averaging 167.07 for all-events. Junior, Paul Marquez, led the team, averaging 181.2 over the course of the five team games. DBU missed out on the top 8 cut for match play, finishing 52nd.
 
Alongside the average leaders from both tournaments, the varsity lineup had contributions from Junior Travis Sorola, Sophomores Ryan Lira and Justin Dirden, and Freshmen Chase Walker, David You, and Zack Wassam.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 
- This was DBU's second appearance at both the Glenn Carlson LVI & Collegiate Shoot-Out.
- Both tournaments featured an expanded field of 55 teams this year.
- After both Las Vegas tournaments, DBU ranked 123rd nationally.

1044 - The highest team game in DBU Bowling history, bowled on day one of the Glenn Carlson LVI.
180.56 - Trenton Wagner's team-leading average through 42 games bowled this season.

UP NEXT  
The Patriots continue their season with SWIBC V & SWIBC VI on January 18th and 19th. Both tournaments will be held at Plano Super Bowl in Plano, TX, starting at 8:00 a.m. on both Saturday & Sunday.
