THE RUNDOWN
The No. 2-ranked DBU Women's Golf team captured their third straight tournament victory of the fall, finishing with a two-round score of 16-over par (584) at the West Regional Preview on Tuesday at Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colorado.
Madison Ude led the way, earning medalist honors for the second time this year with a flawless even-par 142 over two rounds. The win also marked a historic milestone as DBU Head Coach
Kenny Trapp notched the 93rd victory of his career, becoming the all-time leader in NCAA Division II coaching wins.
Carrying an 11-stroke lead into Tuesday's final round, the Patriots surged to their third consecutive tournament victory, finishing 26 strokes ahead of Cal State Los Angeles.
DBU's dominance extended across the leaderboard with three players finishing in the top 10. Joining Ude was
Ella Cheek, who placed third at 3-over par, and
Gracie Grant, who tied for eighth at 7-over. Freshman
Presley Bolado recorded her top finish of the fall, posting an 8-over par (150) to take 12th place.
