Women's Soccer Ascends to Top Spot in United Soccer Coaches Poll

The DBU Women's Soccer team has climbed to the No. 1 ranking in the nation in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Patriots claimed the top spot after a commanding 4-1 victory over UT Dallas, extending their winning streak to 11 straight and setting a new program record for the best start in school history.

The No. 1 ranking marks DBU's return to the top of the national rankings for the first time since 2022, when the Patriots held the No. 1 position from the second week of the season through the end of the regular season.

Through their first 11 matches, DBU has showcased star-power on both ends of the pitch. Offensively, DBU owns the No. 3 scoring attack in the nation, averaging an impressive 3.45 goals per match. On the defensive side, the Patriots rank No. 4 nationally in goals-against average, conceding just 0.27 goals per contest.

The Patriots will look to keep their unbeaten season alive on Wednesday night as they travel to Denton to take on Texas Woman's University. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
