The stage is set for DBU Basketball's annual Battle at the Burg on Tuesday night at the Burg Center, officially ushering in the 2025–2026 basketball season.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., with the evening's festivities featuring special performances from DBU's national champion Cheer and Dance teams. Fans in attendance will then have the opportunity to get their first look at the DBU Men's Basketball team, as the Patriots take the floor for an intrasquad scrimmage showcasing a squad coming off a run to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals last season.

The night will conclude with the always-popular DBU Greek Life Dance-Off, as student organizations compete for campus bragging rights in a spirited finale that captures the energy and camaraderie of Patriot Nation.

DBU officially opens the regular season November 1–2 at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Lakeland, Florida, where the Patriots will face Michigan Tech and Washburn. The home opener is slated for November 14, when Colorado Mesa visits the Burg Center.
