DBU senior defender
Parker Coe has been recognized as the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Player of the Month by the United Soccer Coaches, becoming the first player in program history to earn the prestigious honor.
A native of Carrollton, Texas, Coe has anchored a dominant Patriot back line that has recorded seven shutouts in nine matches, including a current streak of six consecutive clean sheets. With Coe leading the charge from the center back position, DBU boasts the third-best scoring defense in the nation, surrendering just 0.22 goals per game. The Patriots have not conceded a goal in their last 613 minutes of play, a testament to both Coe's leadership and defensive prowess.
In addition to her defensive impact, Coe has made her presence felt in the attack, tallying three goals and two assists this season. Her ability to contribute on both ends of the field has been instrumental in the Patriots' climb to the No. 3 national ranking.
Today's announcement marks a milestone for DBU Women's Soccer, as Coe becomes the program's first-ever recipient of the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Month award.
The Patriots return to action this Saturday when they travel to Odessa to take on UT Permian Basin.
