Patriots Capture National Preview Title; Trapp Ties NCAA Division II Wins Record

THE RUNDOWN
The No. 3-ranked DBU Women's Golf team continued their dominant fall campaign, capturing their second consecutive tournament title with a victory at the National Preview held at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Patriots finished the three-round event with a team score of 40-over par (904), outpacing a strong national field and marking a historic milestone for Head Coach Kenny Trapp, whose 92nd career win ties him for the most victories in NCAA Division II Women's Golf history.

DBU was led by Ella Cheek and Gracie Grant, both of whom finished inside the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. Cheek turned in an impressive performance, finishing runner-up at 7-over par, just one stroke behind Florida Southern's Clare Gimpel, who claimed medalist honors. Grant continued her strong play as well, tying for fourth place at 9-over par.

Chloe Sirkin added a steady presence for the Patriots, finishing 11th at 12-over, while Madison Ude, fresh off her victory at the DBU Classic, recorded another solid showing, placing 18th at 16-over par.

After a challenging start that saw DBU sitting in seventh place at 23-over par following the opening round, the Patriots stormed back with a 4-over-par second round to surge into the lead. They never looked back, closing out Tuesday's final round at 13-over par to secure the team title.
