LAST TIME OUT
Tuesday night, DBU swept Texas A&M International in what was arguably the Lady Patriots' most dominant win of the season (25-13, 25-12, 25-15). Lauren Witte led everyone on the floor in both kills and digs, with nine and seven, respectively.

The Lady Patriots dominated every facet of the contest: DBU held a +15 kill differential (35-20), a +4 block differential (7-3), a +4 ace differential (7-3), and had a hitting percentage .316 points higher than the Dustdevils (.354-.038).

Tuesday was the first time this young core of talent was able to keep their feet on the gas pedal from the first whistle through the end of the contest, overpowering TAMIU in every way imaginable. DBU will carry that attitude into Friday and Saturday's games, hoping to establish a newfound sense of momentum as the season progresses.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
Home At Last: Tuesday's game marked the end of a 31-day streak without a home game for the Lady Patriots.
Back On Track: Saturday's win over ENMU snapped a three-game losing streak for the Lady Patriots. Following Tuesday's sweep of TAMIU, DBU has an opportunity to extend its win streak to four games through the remainder of this homestand.
iKarly: Junior outside Karly Wells is currently putting down 5.04 kills per set, which leads the Lone Star Conference. The current program record for kills per set in a single season was set by Delaney Fuller last season, at 4.62.
Witte Remarks: Lauren Witte led everyone on the court with nine kills in Tuesday's win, and had the most efficient game of her career (.438 hitting percentage).
Berry Nice: Freshman outside/middle Aizlyn Dewberry was named the LSC Freshman of the Week on 9/23/2025, for her performance at the Lone Star Conference Crossover. She totaled nine kills and 17 total blocks across that two-game slate.
Ice Cold Winters: Freshman setter Paityn Winters has blossomed into a consistent all-around contributor and a key piece to the young Lady Patriot core. Winters leads the team with eight double-doubles on the year, averaging 5.09 assists per set and 3.07 digs per set.
