The DBU Men's Basketball team announced the signing of Kerric "KJ" Bradford to their 2026 recruiting class on Friday. Bradford is a 6'0" guard from Red Oak High School, where he plays for Coach Chris Davis. KJ is a versatile playmaking guard who can do a bit of everything, and is fast in the open court. KJ has the ability to really get after the ball defensively, and can break an opponent down and put pressure on the other team offensively. He is unselfish with great vision and is an excellent scorer as well as a passer. During the summer, KJ played for team Dallas Showtyme and Coach Reggie Johnson.
Coach Davis says, "KJ has been everything a coach can ask for as a person and a basketball player. He is one of the most respectful kids I have been around. He has a game that inspires people, but his character defines him. He has helped elevate our basketball program as one of the best in Texas year in and year out. DBU, you are getting a player that has a great foundation, supportive family, and a well-rounded, talented individual. He is a winner and an ultimate competitor that will give his all each and every day in the classroom and on the court. He will be a blessing to not only the team, but to the entire Dallas Baptist University community."
Coach Flickner says, "KJ is going to be special during his time at DBU. He's an excellent DBU fit on and off the court. He has excellent speed, but also knows how to play on balance with great vision and selflessness. He's a relentless defender and has the ability to make shots or create for others."
