LAST TIME OUT
Thursday night, DBU hoops took to the road in Russellville, Arkansas, taking down the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys in a game where the Patriots never trailed, walking away with an 80-67 win. Drew Calderon opened the scoring with a corner trey two and a half minutes in, and Dr. Blake Flickner's troops never looked back.

TJ Thomas and Bishop Jones both scored eight points in each half, leading a consistent, abundant scoring attack. The team was able to haul in 15 offensive rebounds, led by Xavion Brown's three, and totaled 16 second-chance points. However, the blaring storyline of the night was what DBU was able to accomplish on the defensive side.

Headlined by X's seven steals, DBU forced a turnover on 41.3% of Arkansas Tech's possessions, and the Patriots netted 35 points in possessions generated from said turnovers. DBU will look to accumulate 30 or more forced turnovers for the third straight game on Saturday night.

Since then, however, the tide has turned, and DBU now leads the all-time series, 20-18. The Patriots have claimed victory in each of their last five games against St. Edward's.
