Parker Coe has been named the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Â
A senior center back from Carrollton, Texas, Coe anchored a defensive performance last week that paved the way to back-to-back shutouts over Sul Ross State and West Texas A&M. The Patriots' defense, led by Coe's steady presence on the back line, allowed just one shot combined across both matches.
Â
Coe also made her mark on the offensive end, scoring in both contests and adding an assist to cap a standout week on both sides of the pitch.
Â
This marks the second time this season Coe has earned the LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Â
Coe and the No. 1-ranked Patriots will close out the regular season on Tuesday, hosting Midwestern State at Patriot Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
