LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Men's Soccer team battled St. Edward's to a 2–2 draw on Senior Night at Patriot Soccer Field, earning a pivotal point that officially locked up a spot in next week's Lone Star Conference Tournament.

The Hilltoppers grabbed an early lead just six minutes in after an own goal put DBU on the back foot. The Patriots found their footing late in the first half, equalizing in the 39th minute when freshman Jared Perez netted his first career goal off a clever build-up assisted by Cason Berg and Colby deLeeuw.

Momentum carried into the second half as Gavyn Rosales delivered a precise cross in the 62nd minute that Caden Berg calmly slotted home to give DBU a 2–1 lead.

St. Edward's drew level again in the 73rd minute after a controversial foul on goalkeeper Sean Mattivi led to a penalty kick converted by Izaiah Garza, tying the match at 2–2. DBU nearly found late heroics when Bryan Beck's deep free kick caused chaos in front of the Hilltopper goal, but the Patriots couldn't get a clean strike before the final whistle.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
Postseason Picture: DBU enters the regular-season finale as the No. 4 seed in the LSC standings with 12 points.
- Hosting on the Line: A win over TAMIU would secure the right to host an LSC Quarterfinal match. West Texas A&M and UT Tyler both trail the Patriots by one point, but DBU holds tiebreakers over each.
- Berg in the Spotlight: Redshirt freshman Caden Berg was named LSC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals last week.
- Offensive Firepower: Junior Erik Oliveira ranks fourth in the conference with six goals, while freshman Caleb Centeno sits sixth with five.
Chasing History: Oliveira is just one goal shy of tying Peyton Voelker (2024) and Brian Robertson (2013) for the fourth-most goals in a single season in DBU history.
- Freshman Milestone Watch: Centeno needs one more goal to match Ethan Martinez's 2017 record for most goals by a DBU freshman.
- Corners of Opportunity: DBU ranks third in the LSC, averaging 5.2 corner kicks per match.
- Larson's Longevity: Senior Leo Larson is set to make his 73rd career appearance, tying Nathan McBride (2014–17) for the second-most in program history.
- Rosales Rising: Gavyn Rosales is tied for third in career goals (14) and ranks fifth all-time in career assists (11) at DBU.
Mattivi Holding Strong: Goalkeeper Sean Mattivi has started the last six matches, posting two shutouts and a team-best .760 save percentage.
- Defensive Ironmen: Caden Berg, Bryan Beck, Evan Lupo, and Jack Golden have all surpassed 1,100 minutes this season, anchoring DBU's defensive unit.
- Milestone Moment: Head Coach Jess Jobe is one win away from becoming the winningest coach in program history.

SCOUTING TAMIU
- The Dustdevils are in the midst of a three-game losing streak since a 1-0 win over St. Mary's on October 18.
- TAMIU is averaging 1.44 goals per match. Defensively, the Dustdevils are conceding an average of 2.06 goals per match.
- Tiziano Klamler and Kai Louviere are tied for the team lead with four goals apiece.
- Klamer's five assists are second most in the LSC.
- The Dustdevils boast the league's top shot accuracy, landing 42 percent of their shots on goal.
- Goalkeeper Ioannis Koupepides leads ranks second in the LSC in saves per game (3.36).

SERIES HISTORY
TAMIU leads the all-time series, 13–4–3, but DBU has controlled recent history, winning three of the last five meetings with the other two ending in draws.

UP NEXT
The Patriots will take the field Saturday in the LSC Quarterfinals. A win over TAMIU would lock in the No. 4 seed and give DBU the right to host postseason play at Patriot Soccer Field.
