DBU Women's Soccer standouts
Parker Coe and
Anne Louthan earned First Team Scholar All-American honors from United Soccer Coaches on Thursday. With today's announcement, DBU was the only program in the nation to place two student-athletes on the United Soccer Coaches First Team.
Coe, a Carrollton, Texas native, graduated with a 3.93 GPA as an Education major while serving as a cornerstone of the Patriots' defense throughout her senior season. She collected United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American honors and swept the Lone Star Conference's top individual awards, being named both Player of the Year and Defender of the Year. Coe helped lead a back line that rewrote the DBU record book by limiting opponents to 0.50 goals per game and added an attacking presence with six goals and six assists during the year.
Louthan, a redshirt senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, carried a 3.92 GPA while pursuing an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a focus in Biology and Sports Management. She earned United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American recognition after setting new personal bests with 12 goals, nine assists, and 33 total points. A consistent contributor in all phases of the game, Louthan helped the Patriots produce 15 shutouts and was voted the Lone Star Conference Midfielder of the Year at season's end.
Earlier this week, both Coe and Louthan were also selected to the United Soccer Coaches First Team Scholar All-Region Team.
