STUNT Hands Vanguard 15-10 Defeat to Win Fourth Straight

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU STUNT program was back in action in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on Friday and picked up a hard-fought 15,10 win over Vanguard University. With the win, the Patriots improve to 4-0 on the season.

FINAL SCORE (DBU-15 and VU-10)
Quarter 1 - Partner Stunts Score: 4-0
Feeling the challenge of a competitive opponent, DBU came out hot in quarter one stealing all points from the Lions. Krista Kizer, four-year senior and captain, had a standout performance fighting for each partner stunt she was underneath.

Quarter 2 - Pyramids and Tosses Score: 6-2
In quarter 2, the Lions were determined to put some points up on the board. Both teams broke even and received two points each.

Quarter 3 - Jumps and Tumbling Score: 9-4
Coming back from halftime, the Patriots continued to prove themselves as the stronger competitor. They called routine seven and received the point, which gave them the motivation to finish the quarter strong. "We had to switch a lot of positions around this week due to an athlete being out. I'm very proud of the ways our tumblers made quick changes and supported each other through it," said Assistant Coach Mattie Royal

Quarter 4 - Team Routine Final Score: 15-10
The Lions tried to catch up with the Patriots, but it was not enough to gain a lead. Both teams received six points in this quarter, and it was a good fight to the end. NEXT UP DBU plays a back-to-back game to face the Rattlers from St. Mary's University.
