LAST TIME OUT
The DBU men's tennis team had an eventful and successful week in Orlando, Florida, facing a tough lineup of opponents and showcasing their depth and resilience. The Patriots started strong with a dominant 6-1 victory over West Chester, sweeping the doubles round and securing wins across the board in singles play. However, their next challenge came against nationally ranked Ferris State, where they fell 2-5 despite a strong showing in singles from Matthew Abbey and Fabian Rosales. The Patriots bounced back on Thursday, delivering a pair of solid performances against Coe College, first winning 7-0 and then securing a 5-2 victory. DBU was especially dominant in doubles play, and although the singles results were tighter in the second match, victories from Alec Rule, Kell Castleberry, and Mariano Guzman sealed the win. To wrap up their Florida trip, the Patriots capped the week with a commanding 7-0 win over LaGrange, demonstrating their strength in both doubles and singles. The week was a valuable experience for DBU, highlighting their ability to compete at a high level and setting them up for continued success moving forward.


PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots are back in action this weekend as they take on Texas Wesleyan and Weatherford College. 
- The Patriots currently hold an 11-3 record.
- Four Patriots remain undefeated in singles play, including Edgar Mayorga (7-0), Kell Castleberry (4-0), Mariano Guzman (3-0) and Oliver Whittaker (1-0). 
- The doubles teams of Kell Castleberry and Arturo Beitman (4-0), Arturo Langle and Matthew Abbey (7-2), Alec Rule and Edgar Mayorga (7-2), and Zach Capone and Mariano Guzman (3-0) have built impressive records in doubles play.
- DBU has a 61-18 record in singles play and a 32-10 record in doubles. 


SCOUTING TEXAS WESLEYAN
- DBU will face Texas Wesleyan on Friday. 
- Weatherford College competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association and holds a 2-1 record so far this season.
- The Rams own the all-time series, 2-4, against the Patriots since their first matchup on April 14, 2018. 

SCOUTING WEATHERFORD COLLEGE
- DBU will face Weatherford College on Saturday.
- Weatherford College competes at the NCAA Division II level in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and holds a 4-3 record so far this season.
- This is the first matchup between the Patriots and the Coyotes in program history.
