The DBU Women's Tennis team had a strong performance recently, sweeping both McMurry and Hardin-Simmons with dominant 7-0 and 4-0 victories. Against McMurry, the Lady Patriots started fast in doubles, with Emilu Buchanan and Jenna Payne, as well as Isabella Quintero and Andrea Delgado, each winning 6-0. This early dominance continued into singles play, where Buchanan (line 1), Payne (line 2), Delgado (line 3), and Quintero (line 4) all secured victories, completing the 7-0 sweep. The following match against Hardin-Simmons saw Coach Morgan adjust the doubles lineup, but the results were the same. Madalyn Smelley and Isabella Arana Rios, Payne and Buchanan, and Quintero and Delgado all secured wins in doubles, continuing DBU's strong start. In singles, the Lady Patriots quickly wrapped up the match, with Arana Rios, Buchanan, and Quintero claiming victories, finishing off a 4-0 win. DBU showed their strength and depth, dominating both matches from start to finish without allowing either opponent a chance to rally.
