LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Patriots men's tennis team faced a challenging weekend last weekend, competing against UAFS on Friday and Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday.  Despite their best efforts, they fell short in both matches, though several strong individual performances stood out. Against UAFS, the match was closely contested, ending in a heartbreaking 3-4 loss. The doubles team of Matthew Abbey and Arturo Langle secured a 6-3 win at line 2, while Alec Rule and Edgar Mayorga triumphed 7(8)-6(6) at line 3. Unfortunately, JW Altman and Fabian Rosales couldn't secure a win at line 1, losing 3-6. In singles, Mayorga and Arturo Beitman emerged victorious, but it wasn't enough to clinch the match. The overall contest remained tight, with a pivotal three-setter ultimately sealing the Patriots' fate in a narrow defeat.

On Saturday, the team faced another close contest against Southeastern Oklahoma State. In doubles, only Mayorga and Rule managed a 6-4 win, but DBU fought hard across all lines. Although Altman, Ricardo Carvajalino, and Rosales earned wins in their singles matches, the rest of the team fell short. Both Abbey and Langle were ahead in their singles matches when SEOK clinched the victory, causing play to stop. Despite the losses, the Patriots demonstrated resilience and competitiveness throughout the weekend.
