LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Lady Patriots had an impressive weekend last weekend, dominating UAFS on Friday and edging out Southeastern Oklahoma State in a tough road match on Saturday. Against UAFS, the Lady Patriots cruised to a 6-1 victory. The doubles teams were flawless, with Madalyn Smelley and Isabella Arana-Rios, Emily Buchanan and Jenna Payne, and Isabella Quintero and Andrea Delgado all securing victories. In singles, DBU was in complete control, with Leonie Schondelmaier, Madalyn Smelley, Isabella Arana-Rios, Jenna Payne, and Isabella Quintero each earning dominant wins, and only a single match going unfinished as the Lady Patriots wrapped up the victory with ease. The match against Southeastern Oklahoma State proved to be a much tougher battle, but DBU managed to secure a 4-1 win.

The doubles competition was a dramatic highlight, as the line 3 team of Quintero and Delgado saved four match points to secure the doubles point. In singles, the Lady Patriots won five of six first sets, but SEOK rallied back, forcing third sets at lines 1-3. However, Emily Buchanan extended her unbeaten streak, and Arana-Rios kept the momentum going. The clinching moment came from freshman transfer Katia Robinson, who secured a 6-1 third-set victory at line 2, sealing the win for DBU.
