LAST TIME OUT
The DBU Men's Tennis team had a successful day this past weekend, first defeating McMurry 7-0 before turning around to beat Hardin-Simmons 4-1. Against McMurry, the Patriots dominated doubles with victories from Fabian Rosales and Ricardo Carvajalino (6-3), Kell Castleberry and Arturo Beitman (6-1), and Mariano Guzman and Oliver Whittaker (6-2). In singles, DBU swept all six lines. Later, against Hardin-Simmons, DBU swept the doubles matches but dropped one singles match at line 1, sealing a 4-1 victory. Coach Wade Morgan praised the team's depth, noting strong contributions across both matches.



PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots currently hold a 7-2 record.
- DBU's men's tennis team won both matches convincingly, sweeping McMurry 7-0 and defeating Hardin-Simmons 4-1 with outstanding doubles and singles play.
- Ricardo Carvajalino and Arturo Beitman were instrumental in DBU's dominant 7-0 win over McMurry and 4-1 victory over Hardin-Simmons, leading the team in singles and doubles.
- Ricardo Carvajalino went undefeated this past weekend in singles and doubles. 
- DBU has a 38-11 record in singles play and a 20-6 record in doubles. 



SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
- DBU will face West Chester on Monday. 
- West Chester competes at the NCAA Division II level within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and has started the spring season with a 0-3 record.
- This will be the first-ever matchup between the Patriots and the Golden Rams in program history.


SCOUTING FERRIS STATE
- DBU will face Ferris State on Tuesday.
- Ferris State competes at the NCAA Division II level in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and holds a 4-3 record so far this season.
- The Bulldogs own the all-time series, 1-0, against the Patriots since their first matchup on March 8, 2022. 


SCOUTING COE COLLEGE
- DBU will face Coe College on Thursday.
- Coe College competes at the NCAA Division III level in the American Rivers Conference and has an 8-3 record to start the spring season.
- The Patriots own the all-time series, 1-0, against the Kohawks since their first matchup on March 12, 2024. 

SCOUTING LAGRANGE
- DBU will face LaGrange on Thursday.
- LaGrange competes at the NCAA Division III level in the Collegiate Conference of the South and holds a 4-6 record this season. 
- This will be the first-ever matchup between the Patriots and the Panthers in program history.



UP NEXT
The Patriots will host Texas Wesleyan and Weatherford College at home on March 21st and 22nd.
