LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots experienced a weekend of mixed results in men's tennis, showing both dominance and grit across two matches that were moved indoors due to inclement weather. On Friday in Ennis, DBU delivered a commanding 7-0 sweep over Sul Ross State, with doubles teams Mariano Guzman and Zach Capone, along with Arturo Beitman and Kell Castleberry, each earning strong 6-1 wins. In singles play, Beitman, Alec Rule, Castleberry, Braxton Jett, and Oliver Whittaker all posted decisive victories, rounding out a dominant team performance. Saturday's match at TCU against Western New Mexico proved to be a tougher test, as the Patriots fell 2-4 despite a hard-fought effort. While DBU came up short in doubles, Matthew Abbey and Alec Langle picked up singles wins, highlighting the team's resilience in a tightly contested battle. The weekend showcased the Patriots' ability to dominate when firing on all cylinders while also displaying their determination in the face of adversity.
