The Lady Patriots turned in a dominant weekend of women's tennis, sweeping both opponents in strong fashion despite a shift indoors due to inclement weather. On Friday in Ennis, DBU rolled to a 7-0 win over Sul Ross State, with doubles pairs Emily Buchanan and Jenna Payne, and Isabella Quintero and Andrea Delgado, each earning flawless 6-0 victories. In singles, Katherine Robinson, Leonie Schondelmaier, Madalyn Smelley, and Isabella Arana-Rios all secured straight-set wins to complete the sweep. The momentum carried into Saturday as the team traveled to Fort Worth to face Western New Mexico at TCU, where they earned a 4-0 victory. Buchanan and Payne remained undefeated in doubles on the weekend with another 6-2 win, while Schondelmaier, Arana-Rios, and Buchanan each picked up singles victories before the remaining matches went unfinished. Both Schondelmaier and Arana-Rios stayed perfect in singles play, highlighting a weekend marked by consistency, composure, and complete team effort.
