LAST TIME OUT

The DBU Men's Tennis team took on two of the Lone Star Conference's toughest programs last weekend, falling to #8 UT Tyler and #37 St. Mary's in back-to-back matches. On Friday, the Patriots traveled to Tyler, Texas, to face a strong UT Tyler squad and, despite a hard-fought effort, fell 7-0 in a dominant performance by the hosts. Saturday brought the team back home to Dallas for a matchup with another conference powerhouse in St. Mary's, where the Patriots showed grit in several tightly contested matches despite a 6-1 loss. Senior Matthew Abbey provided the highlight of the day with a hard-fought win at line one singles to earn DBU's lone point, making for a memorable moment on Senior Day. Though DBU came up short in both matches, the team gained valuable experience against two of the top teams in the conference and looked to regroup and build off the positives moving forward in their Lone Star Conference campaign.
