The Dallas Baptist University Men's Tennis team closed out its regular season over the weekend, hosting nationally ranked Lubbock Christian on Saturday before taking on UT Permian Basin on Sunday in matches full of competitive play and strong individual performances.

Saturday marked the final match day at the Patriot Tennis Courts, where DBU faced off against the #5-ranked LCU. Despite several hard-fought sets, the Patriots fell 0-7. A highlight of the day came from the doubles court, as the line two duo of Arturo Langle and Matthew Abbey delivered a strong performance, securing a win in their match.

On Sunday, the Patriots traveled to Texas Christian University to battle UTPB. Once again, Langle and Abbey shined in doubles, notching another win to cap off an undefeated weekend for the pair. In singles play, Alec Rule earned the lone point for DBU, picking up a gritty victory in his match. Though the final scores didn't fall in the Patriots' favor, the weekend showcased the team's fight and determination as they wrapped up a season filled with growth and promise.

DBU HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE TEAM PERFORMANCE
"It was very surreal playing our final matches as a program. The amount of support from our friends in the tennis community and family members was unbelievable. It truly speaks to the spirit of this program. We went out with tons of heart and played for one another. These were great final matches from the men."
