For the first game of the 2025 STUNT Nationals, the Patriots were up against a Lone Star Conference competitor for the fifth and final time this season. DBU faced the Rattlers from St. Mary's University, winning 13-5 with a mercy rule following the second routine of the fourth quarter.

FINAL SCORE (DBU- 13 and St. Mary's- 5)
Quarter 1 - Partner Stunts Score: 4-0 The Patriots started with possession and called routine 4. After perfectly executing the routine, DBU won the point and continued to stay strong, stealing all four possible points in the first quarter.

Quarter 2 - Pyramids and Tosses Score: 6-0 The Patriots started the quarter with a fall in pyramid 2 giving the point to the Rattlers. Following this, St. Mary's called routine seven and DBU forfeited the routine. After many missteps and a fall, the Rattlers did not receive the point. DBU fought hard to keep the lead in the last two routines of the quarter and won the last remaining points.

Quarter 3 - Jumps and Tumbling Score: 8-3 Following halftime, DBU fought hard to stay ahead. They fought through a few mistakes and continued to come out on top. This quarter came to a draw between the two teams as they both received two points.

Quarter 4 - Team Routine Final Score: 13-5 In the final quarter of the game, the Patriots proved to be the better competitors. St. Mary's started with possession, calling routine 5 and tried their best to close the gap but it was not enough. DBU called routine two and took all three points away from the Rattlers, ending the game early in a mercy rule.
