STUNT at Nationals

STUNT Falls to Davenport at Nationals

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU STUNT program advanced to play their next opponent in the 2025 STUNT Nationals DII Tournament. The Patriots were up against the Davenport University Panthers and dropped a 15-3 decision.

FINAL SCORE (DBU- 3 and DU- 15)
Quarter 1 - Partner Stunts Score: 1-4 The Patriots started out strong with a tie in routine one. Unfortunately, it was not enough to put up any more points against the Panthers in the first quarter.

Quarter 2 - Pyramids and Tosses Score: 2-8 Starting quarter 2, the Patriots had possession and called routine one and tied the point against Davenport. This gave the Patriots the motivation to finish the half with great energy despite not being able to take any more points from the Panthers.

Quarter 3 - Jumps and Tumbling Score: 3-12 This was a comeback quarter for the DBU STUNT team. Fighting for the small victories, the Patriots were within two minors of each point lost. They tied the last point of the quarter in routine two with a wonderful performance from #19 Robbie Garcia.

Quarter 4 - Combination Routine Final Score: 3-15 The Patriots finished strong in routine seven, the first and final routine of quarter 4. Despite this, the Patriots still fell short to the Panthers with a final score of 3-15. "We put up a really good fight against a very difficult team, " said Head Coach Callie Taylor. "We played a better game than we did this morning and that's all you can ask for. We're looking forward to an evenly matched game tomorrow and to come out with a win."
