LAST TIME OUT
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Tennis team wrapped up their regular season with back-to-back victories, earning a 5-2 win over No. 20 Lubbock Christian on Saturday and a dominant 7-0 sweep against UT Permian Basin on Sunday.

Saturday marked the final home match of the season at the Patriot Tennis Courts, and the Lady Patriots made it one to remember. After dropping the doubles point to nationally ranked LCU, DBU surged in singles play, claiming five of six matches to notch their third win over a top-20 opponent this season.

The momentum carried into Sunday as DBU faced UTPB at Texas Christian University. The Lady Patriots came out strong from the start, securing the doubles point and sweeping all six singles courts to close out the weekend, and the regular season, in commanding fashion.
A major highlight of the season was the exceptional performance of Emily Buchanan, who capped off her regular season with an undefeated 21-0 record at line five singles. Her consistency proved to be a steadying force for the team throughout the year.

With a 6-4 record in conference play, three of those losses decided by just one match, the Lady Patriots secured the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Lone Star Conference Tournament. They will open postseason play against No. 3 seed Lubbock Christian on May 1st at noon. Riding the momentum of a strong finish to the regular season, DBU enters the tournament with confidence and a clear focus, ready to make a deep postseason run.
