DBU Men's Soccer standout Peyton Voelker has been named one of just 33 student-athletes across the Lone Star Conference to receive the prestigious LSC Scholar-Athlete Award, recognizing exceptional achievements in academics, athletics, and leadership.

A senior from Timnath, Colorado, Voelker is a member of the Lone Star Conference's graduating Class of 2025 and was selected for this honor by Dallas Baptist University in partnership with the conference office. Each year, the LSC honors one male and one female scholar-athlete from each member institution who exemplify excellence both on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, recipients must be in their final year of eligibility and have participated in their sport for at least two seasons.

Voelker's resume is nothing short of extraordinary. In 2024, he was named the LSC Forward of the Year and earned a spot on the LSC All-Academic Team. Over the course of his four-year career, he etched his name into the DBU record books as the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 32 goals. He also holds the school record for career points (76) and ranks third all-time in assists (12). Off the pitch, Voelker has excelled academically, posting a 3.64 cumulative GPA as a Business Administration major.

Across the Lone Star Conference, the 2024-25 Scholar-Athlete class represents 17 institutions and 15 of the league's 19 championship sports. Among the honorees are NCAA Elite 90 Award winners, College Sports Communicators Academic Players of the Year, and numerous CSC Academic All-America and All-District selections. Many of these student-athletes have also played pivotal roles in leading their teams to LSC championships, regional titles, and even NCAA Division II national tournament success.
