DBU Volleyball's Paityn Winters has been named the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Week for her performance at the Wildcat Classic last weekend at Daemen University.

In a 3-0 weekend for the Lady Patriots, Winters totaled 67 assists and 42 digs, recording double-doubles against Wayne State (MI) and Clarion. To go along with those totals, Winters added four aces while only committing two service errors across the tournament. Winters, along with teammate Karly Wells, was named to the all-tournament team for the Wildcat Classic.

Next up, Paityn Winters and the Lady Patriots (5-1) will travel to Denton for the LSC Crossover hosted by Texas Woman's. Friday's game against St. Mary's is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
